let's check in with our jennifer davis she is live there in virginia beach right now. jennifer massive amount of rain. how are things looking good? >> good morning there is a light rain falling. it is very cold here and it is windy. conditions are certainly better than they were the last day or two. we have snow in the southern part of the state. we have a lot of power outages and flooding in the northern part. here in virginia beach as you mentioned it is certainly water logged 9 inches of rain the tides hit over 7 feet and it will be in the 5-7 foot range. there is a good amount of flooding in the low lying areas. they were expect that go but it is something they have to deal with as the sun comes up. they are expected to bounce back a little quicker than perhaps other parts of the eastern sea board. schools and city offices will be on delay. it wasn't as bad as up north where people were hard hit. >> still the water has no place to go. when the ground gets that saturated it could lead to real problems. >> for more on where the storm is headed maria molina is here in
